The Bible is the living Word of God which contains God's plan for our salvation and the account of His unfailing love for his people.  Inspired by God and written over many centuries and by many authors, the Bible is best understood when read and studied together with other believers.  Nevertheless, individual Bible study is good and beneficial to help us grow in faith and understanding.
