Confirmation instruction for young people in grades 7 and 8 culminates with the service of Affirmation of Baptism. This is a ministry of instruction and learning about Christianity, the Lutheran tradition, and individual faith. Topics covered include the Ten Commandments, the Lord's Prayer, the Creed, the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion, Martin Luther and the Reformation, and the life and ministry of the church. During confirmation, young people explore their questions about faith and take on ownership of their faith responsibility.

Confirmation ministry occurs durning the school year and includes meetings with the Pastor and "Faith Alive" Retreats at Lutheridge. In 2010, confirmation also meets at 10:00 am on selected Sunday mornings.

Affirmation of Baptism is the culmination of confirmation instruction and gives our confirmands the opportunity to declare their faith before their family, friends and congregation. This year, the Affirmation of Baptism service is scheduled for Christ the King Sunday, November 21. For more information, contact the Pastor.
